Dabangg 3 In Trouble: Shivling On Sets Sparks Controversy; Salman Khan Reacts
Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 has landed in big trouble after pictures of a Shivling covered with wooden plank from sets of the film went viral on social media. BJP accused the actor of hurting religious sentiments. Now, Khan has lent clarification
Even before the shoot for Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 could begin, the superstar got embroiled in a controversy. Yesterday, pictures of a Shivling covered with wooden plank were doing the rounds of social media. Soon afterwards, BJP accused Salman of hurting religious sentiments.
However, the actor later issued a clarification and said that the Shivling was covered with wooden plank to protect the idol and to maintain its sanctity. Talking to the reporters, state Congress Media Department chief Shobha Oza said BJP leaders have a "narrow mindset". She said, "We are not required to respond to Sharma's statement, but due to the narrow mindset of BJP leaders, the state did not see development during the 15-year rule of the party.”
Talking about the superstar, Congress leader and Madhya Pradesh's Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Jitu Patwari said, “Salman is such a wonderful actor who always spreads the message of religious harmony. But, the BJP's thinking is full of hatred and this party wants to take political advantage by creating enmity among people.”
Times of India quoted local newspapers reported saying, “The Bollywood star said that the wooden planks were kept on the Shivling to protect it and maintain its sanctity during the shooting of the movie. Later, the planks were removed,” he said.
Yesterday, Sonakshi Sinha shared a picture of her character Rajjo on social media. She posted the picture and wrote, “RAJJO is back!!! From Dabangg, to Dabangg 3...Its homecoming. Day 1 of shoot for me today, wish me luck #DabanggGirl”
